The new radio feature “The Logistics of the Future” debuts on Friday, May 22 at 12:09 p.m. (with reruns at 2:09 p.m. and 4:09 p.m.) on RadioVeneto24 — www.veneto24.it — broadcast via DAB and FM 106.8 across the entire North-East of Italy. The program is produced by Interporto Padova and Green Logistics Expo, the international logistics exhibition taking place in Padua from October 14 to 16.
Hosting the feature and its weekly interviews will be journalist Riccardo Sandre, who will guide listeners through the discovery of the logistics world — a sector that is little known to the general public, yet absolutely essential to the global economy.
Many years ago, a famous song titled “Video Killed the Radio Star” suggested that radio was destined for rapid decline. That was in 1979, and many believed radio had little future ahead. Today, that prediction has proven entirely wrong: radio has become an increasingly appreciated source of information and entertainment, thanks in part to the technological innovations brought by digital media.
In fact, “The Logistics of the Future” will also become a podcast, freely available on audio platforms such as Spotify, and distributed in mp4 format attached to press releases, newsletters, and other digital communication tools.
As for the content, each episode of the radio feature/podcast will last ten minutes and focus on a key logistics topic discussed with a highly authoritative guest specializing in that field. Subjects will range from geopolitics — which is reshaping the rules that have governed international trade until now — to the importance of sustainable logistics, and the need to further develop rail freight transport and intermodality.
“The Logistics of the Future” is part of Green Logistics Expo’s broader communication campaign, which this year also includes radio advertising on the national broadcaster Radio24, advertising pages in major national newspapers such as La Repubblica, and an extensive communication effort through leading industry media outlets.
Communication activities will further intensify during the three days of the exhibition, also thanks to the “Logistica Sostenibile” podcast by Piano23, conceived and produced by Daniele Testi, which will feature real-time interviews and commentary with leading logistics professionals attending the trade fair.
As they say — stay tuned!
