FREIGHT FORWARDER. THE TOUR OPERATOR OF LOGISTICS – DSV confirms its presence at Green Logistics Expo 2026

The journey that products undertake on behalf of entrepreneurs—whether they sell or purchase energy, furniture, food, clothing and footwear, electronics, fertilizers, or simple pencils—is a winding one. Without going into the details of its many components, every package, large or small, contains within it more experience and adventure than Ulysses and Phileas Fogg combined.

It has traveled by ship, train, airplane, truck, van, scooters, and bicycles. It has rested on a pallet, “in the belly” of a ship like Jonah and Pinocchio, journeyed in containers, and paused in warehouses, lifted and stacked by increasingly autonomous and intelligent machinery.

For our poor entrepreneur, it is truly difficult to navigate such a “jungle” to deliver a beautiful armchair, a finely machined component, or a prestigious bottle of wine to a customer in São Paulo or Pieve di Soligo.

A concrete example? Let’s take the pencil with which I am correcting these lines on a sheet of paper. The wood comes from the USA, Canada, and Russia; the graphite from China (80% of global production), Brazil, Mozambique, Russia, and Madagascar. The lead is a mixture of clay and an aluminum silicate sourced from Sri Lanka, Siberia, Scandinavia, Mexico, and Canada; finally, the talc comes from China, Brazil, and India.

How can an entrepreneur manage such complexity? Fortunately, there is a partner who provides supply chain solutions every day for thousands of companies: the freight forwarder, the professional who knows every detail of the logistics chain, including customs. From small family businesses to large corporations, they ensure the best logistics solutions to enhance business performance.

To this already complex scenario, new obligations are now being added for many companies, such as the introduction of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). The regulation is still evolving and requires specific expertise, both in customs matters and in reporting the emissions embedded in products. For this reason, DSV has developed dedicated support that guides clients throughout the entire process: from identifying goods subject to CBAM, to collecting and managing data, and preparing the required reports. In this context, supply chain compliance is becoming increasingly strategic and cannot be underestimated. The goal is to provide clarity and operational security, enabling companies to face regulatory transition with a structured and informed approach.

In this context, the presence of operators capable of supporting businesses becomes a key factor.

For the 2026 edition, DSV—a global leader among freight forwarders, capable of moving goods worldwide—has confirmed its participation in Green Logistics Expo. Alongside DSV, other competitors are also registering, making it clear that the level of logistics consultancy for small, medium, and large enterprises—so crucial in the Northeast of Italy—is well ensured by the trade fair.

At Green Logistics Expo, you will therefore find high-level expertise, modern and efficient warehouses, and connections with top-tier operators in air, rail, and maritime transport, linked to all countries around the world.
